At LMU, national and foreign scientists and scholars find excellent conditions for their research, whether in each of the disciplines or linked to different areas of knowledge. LMU maintains a broad-based international network and cooperates in degree programs, research, and administration with highly respected partners worldwide.
LMU takes advantage of its success in the Excellence Initiative and Strategy to strengthen its profile as a “universitas” that is strong in research, over the coming years, and to continue to expand its position internationally. In addition to the numerous research links at faculty level with various US institutions, LMU has established strategic partnerships with the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on research in the humanities, and, university-wide, with New York University. Together, LMU and Harvard University hold the annual LMU-Harvard Young Scientists’ Forum in the neurosciences.
LMU’s International Office supports academics in the establishment of new cooperation initiatives and serves as the first point of contact for students and researchers. Further information for prospective international students can be found here.
