Entrepreneurship Explorer Ruhr, a one-week start-up bootcamp taking place in Bochum at the end of September 2023 will this time focus on the topic of cybersecurity. Apply until 17 July, the event is free of charge. Travel and hotel costs will be covered.

Professor Joybrato Mukherjee Becomes the New Rector of the University of Cologne

Professor Joybrato Mukherjee, President of Justus Liebig University Giessen, was elected by the members of the University Election Assembly to be the future Rector of the University of Cologne on 10 May 2023. Mukherjee will thus succeed Professor Axel Freimuth, who has held the office since 2005 and is no longer available for another term due to his age. The handover of office is planned in October 2023.

The German federal parliament’s International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program, offering young college graduates from over 50 countries the chance to experience Germany’s democratic system of governance up-close in Berlin, is set to continue for its 38th year in 2024.
