At TRBAM 2025, the DWIH New York, in collaboration with the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt), played an active role in organizing sessions, meetings, and workshops. During the session of the TRB International Coordination Council, Dr. Jan Lüdert, Head of Programs at DWIH, was invited to share insights and experiences from the field of DWIH Science Diplomacy. Dr. Dirk Jansen and Dr. Mehdi Kalantari from BASt’s “Analysis and Development of Pavement Structures” section received the Best Poster Award from the TRB Committee on “Pavement Structural Testing and Evaluation” for their research on Temperature Normalization of TSD Measurements. Lena Plum, from BASt’s “Automated Driving” section, delivered a presentation offering the German perspective on the research needs regarding remote automated vehicle operations. Additionally, Timo Hoffmann, from BASt’s “Connected Mobility” section, participated in various activities focused on mobility data and intelligent transport systems.
