HAUS Scholarships available for Study at Heidelberg University

Heidelberg Alumni U.S. (HAUS) is pleased to invite applications for the 2025 HAUS Scholarships. The stipends are available to qualified students from a United States university planning to study at Heidelberg University.

HAUS is proud to offer two scholarships:

The HAUS Study Scholarship – Our flagship program

The scholarship award is $7,000 for master’s program students or $4,500 for bachelor’s program students for the 2025-26 academic year.

We are seeking candidates with a strong academic background who can also fulfill the role of ambassador for HAUS upon their return from their study abroad experience.

HAUS Scholarship Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Undergraduate or master’s program student with strong academic credentials enrolled at – or graduated from – an institution of higher education in the U.S.
  • United States residency
  • Acceptance as a student at Heidelberg University (proof can be submitted at a later time)

The HAUS Summer School Scholarship – Get a taste of Heidelberg and improve your German

HAUS offers two scholarships for the month-long International Summer School of German Language and Culture at Heidelberg University. This course allows you to improve your language skills at Germany’s oldest university with students from all over the world. There are a variety of course levels from which to choose, and they all fit into an annual theme. This year’s theme is „Zeitenwende: Politics and Society in Transformation“ and the summer program takes place from July 31 to August 27, 2025.
