More information and registration
The bootcamp is organized by Worldfactory International and Cube 5 – Creating Security, two projects of the Worldfactory Start-up Centre at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. It is aimed at international students, doctoral students, post docs with a concrete start-up idea and founders in the cybersecurity sector who are interested in founding a company or entering the German market. The teams are ideally in the pre-founding and early phase (so-called pre-seed phase).
The participants of the Entrepreneurship Explorer Ruhr Bootcamp have the opportunity to explore the regional start-up scene of Bochum and the Ruhr region in an intensive week, learn more about the business culture in Germany and perfect their sales and pitch skills in workshops. The program will be completed by roundtables with founders, networking events (with each other and with local start-ups) as well as site visits to our makerspace and key local business and cybersecurity players.
At the end of the bootcamp, the participants pitch their idea to a jury of experts. The winning team will receive a free ticket to Slush, one of the largest start-up fairs in Europe and the largest B2B start-up conference.
This year, the Bootcamp will take place in Bochum (Germany) between 25 and 29 September 2023. Interested parties can apply via an application form including submission of their pitch deck to participate in the Bootcamp until 17 July. The event is free of charge. Travel and hotel costs will be covered.
