Chemistry in Germany: From Discovery to Application
The North American office of the DFG, together with the Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the American Friends of AvH, and the DWIH San Francisco is promoting Germany as a prime location for research at the ACS Fall 2023 conference.
The American Chemical Society (ACS) is the professional society for chemists in the USA and one of the world’s largest scientific organizations. It regularly brings together more than 12,000 internationally mobile chemists at its fall meetings and has been a target of appearances to promote Germany as a research location since 2007.
From August 13-16, 2023, the North American office of the German Research Foundation will provide visitors to the ACS fall meeting with information on research, funding, and career opportunities in Germany at Booth #1063. The interconnectedness of the German research and development ecosystem can be explored under our banner, “Chemistry in Germany: From Discovery to Application.” Joining us at the booth are our partners , the Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the American Friends of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AFAvh), and the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) San Francisco .
To conclude the ACS Fall 2023 meeting, a networking meeting is planned for the evening of August 16, hosted by DWIH SF. Please join the group at 101 Montgomery Street, Suite 1900, the office suite of German organizations in San Francisco, at 6:30 pm.
