Berlin-based startup Brighter AI empowers companies to use publicly-recorded camera data for analytics and AI development while respecting the privacy of personal data. Using deep learning, Brighter AI generates artificial faces and license plates that are placed on top of the original image data, thereby protecting individual identities. This anonymization is compliant with privacy regulations and enables the uploading, sharing and analysis of the data, as well as its use for AI development.
Brighter AI was founded in 2017 with the mission to redefine the limits of billions of existing and upcoming cameras. In 2018 the company was named “Europe’s Hottest AI Startup” by tech giant NVIDIA.
